In the test set of data, we included 133 transit studies. We reviewed reporting of transit studies based on current gold-standard i.e. sectoral reporting.

Reports were historic and accurate clinical records of the impression of paediatric radiologists.

Markers retained at final CTMS X-Ray were counted for each patient. The data were visualised in a histogram. Note the colour-coding based on sectoral diagnosis assigned by a radiologist.

From this histogram, several patterns emerge :

  • Subjects with RED retain more markers than other subjects
  • Subjects with a normal pattern retain fewer markers and cluster to the left of the histogram
  • Subjects with a slow pattern are evenly distributed along the lower register of markers
